Description
The route around the world’s 7th highest summit connects the subtropical hills north to Gorkha to the Tibetan Plateau. Opened to trekkers in 1991 in western central Nepal, the trek thru the interesting valley of Budhi Gandaki River is astounding with fantastic mountain scenery. The trail ascends the cascading Gandaki Gorge to the Tibetan enclaves of Samdo, Sama Gaon and cross the immutable Larkya~La pass of snowy peaks. The trail glissade down a long snowfield and reach to Karche and Tilije thru the zones of alpine meadow and forest to the cultivated farmland of the Marsyangdi Valley. The route also links up with the eastern sector of the Annapurna Circuit.
