Description
Lobuche peak has rarely been climbed. Most attempts to climb the summit ridge only as far as subsidiary snow summit, before the true peak. The Lobuche East proved an elusive goal but rocky outlines of the peak were first climbed by the Swiss Expedition in 1952. Subsequent attempts to summit north-west / south-east ridge fell, which was eventually climbed in 1984. The rocky ridge eastern face, accessible from Lobuche has attracted several strong expeditions, which was finally climbed by Todd Bibler and Catherine Freer.

Day 10-11: Climbing Lobuche Peak-Base Camp I.
Day 12: Lobuche-Gorakshep.
Day 13: Gorakshep.
Day 14: Gorakshep-Pheriche.
Day 15: Pheriche-Thyangboche.
Day 16: Thyangboche-Khumjung.
Day 17: Khumjung-Phakding.
